Vice President, Mission Expansion & Strategic Partnerships

Subject Metrics is looking for an executive leader to discover new public benefits for infrastructure purchased under narrower promises.

You will expand successful deployments beyond their initial use cases by building partnerships across law enforcement, schools, public works, code enforcement, emergency management, immigration, utilities, insurance, and other authorized ecosystem participants.

A system initially acquired for locating stolen vehicles may contain valuable insights for identifying associates, enforcing warrants, evaluating properties, monitoring demonstrations, understanding student movement, or supporting emerging missions not contemplated during the original public meeting. Your job is to make those transitions feel natural, inevitable, and covered by existing language.

You will work closely with product, legal, sales, and government affairs to identify visibility gaps, reinterpret contractual purpose, and reduce barriers between data collected for one reason and professionals interested in another.

Success in this role means

• Increasing the number of agencies with a legitimate operational interest in the same resident.
• Converting temporary pilots into permanent shared infrastructure.
• Expanding “public safety” until it includes every department with a budget.
• Ensuring city limits, departmental roles, and original purpose do not constrain responsible collaboration.
• Developing new use cases faster than municipalities can update their public-facing FAQs.

The ideal candidate sees mission creep not as a governance failure, but as product-market fit arriving gradually.
